Ridge accelerates motorsport strength with acquisition of Driven International

15 October 2025

Ridge & Partners, one of the leading motorsport consultants in the built environment, today announced the acquisition of Driven International, a specialist race track design, master planning and engineering consultancy.

This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in multi-disciplinary consultancy Ridge’s long-term growth strategy. While Ridge’s turnover now exceeds £150 million, Driven’s team brings multidisciplinary expertise in architecture, engineering, and visualisation in the design of sports, leisure, driving and motorsport destinations, which complements and reinforces Ridge’s position as one of the global leaders in motorsports and advanced manufacturing.

Both Ridge and Driven, which have worked together for a decade, have built their reputations on strong client relationships and exceptional project delivery. These qualities have been reflected in Driven’s work on landmark projects such as the Lara Racing Circuit in Bulgaria, and long-term collaborations with Mrk1 Consulting in the Middle East with whom Driven worked on the Yas Marina Circuit Formula 1 upgrade and the Mandalika International Street Circuit for MotoGP. Ridge and Driven – now as one business – will continue their extensive collaboration which has seen them work across the UK with Motorsport Vision including the resurfacing of Donington Park, and now globally through exciting new projects together.

Since Ridge delivered its first Formula 1 headquarters for Benneton in 1991, it has been at the forefront of the design, management and construction of facilities and infrastructure for automotive, advanced manufacturing and motorsport, with projects spanning six continents. Clients include more than 20 Formula 1 teams and Ridge has completed in excess £8bn of motorsports and advanced manufacturing developments, creating world-class environments for industry-leading engineers to design, test and manufacture next-generation automotive technology, materials and fuels. The teams it supports have won 15 Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championships.

This acquisition represents the perfect alignment of complementary strengths and shared values. It brings together two companies equally committed to quality, ingenuity and partnership. By combining Driven’s specialist expertise in racetrack design and master planning with Ridge’s proven capabilities in motorsport architecture, engineering, project and cost management, we’re creating an unparalleled offering for our clients while reinforcing our position at the forefront of the motorsports industry.
