BEN WILLSHIRE
MANAGING DIRECTOR
READ BIOGRAPHY
Ben is the founder and Managing Director of Driven International.
With 13 years of international design experience, Ben’s strengths lie in client liaison, business modelling, and setting initial design concepts for the team.
Ben graduated with a BSc Honors degree in Motorsport Technology and Management and has been working as a professional race track and venue designer since 2006. Alongside his working life, Ben has competed as a successful racing driver, winning 4 national titles and breaking lap records at prestigious tracks such as Silverstone and Oulton Park.
Over his professional career, Ben has held roles as a designer, manager and company director at both small design firms and multi-disciplinary firms ranging from £3m – £40m turnover businesses, exposing him to a variety of technical, creative and commercial projects on an international scale.
He loves travelling, motor racing, the outdoors, mountain biking and family!
ALAN SELBY
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Alan brings over 30 years’ international business experience to the Driven team.
He has built and operated highly successful I.T and property businesses across his career.
Alan provides an independent voice and additional Driven board of directors, advising on the strategic growth of the business.
RAMZI DARGHOUTH
PROJECTS DIRECTOR
READ BIOGRAPHY
Ramzi is a director at Driven and oversees all of the internal technical developments and design work at our design studio.
He is an exceptionally talented engineer and technical manager, holding an MEng Degree in Automotive Engineering from Loughborough University.
During his career, Ramzi has spent time in the engineering sector working as a senior project manager and systems integrator, gaining valuable insights into engineering and procurement systems as well as hands-on construction project management on major projects, obtaining his NEBOSH qualification in construction health and safety during this time.
Ramzi has a deep understanding of design processes, mathematics, simulation and vehicle dynamics, which is a real strength to the Driven design studio.
SCOT ELKINS
USA REPRESENTATIVE
READ BIOGRAPHY
Scot Elkins brings a wide range of expertise to Driven, with over 20 years of experience in the motorsport and automotive industries.
He provides operational, engineering, safety and logistical support for the motorsport and automotive industries, having worked with the Motorsports Safety Foundation, ACCUS, FIA, Formula E, IMSA, IndyCar, The Road to Indy, MOMO Motorsports, Park Place Motorsports, Hardpoint Motorsports, NGT Motorsports, RaceTrack Engineering, and Mazda Motorsports.
Scot was previously the Vice President of Competition for IMSA. He directed and managed the competitive and technical facets of the historic merger between Grand-Am Road Racing and the American Le Mans Series. Before his career at IMSA, Scot was the Technical Director for the Champ Car World Series, where he oversaw the introduction and design of the Panoz DP-01, a new open-wheel chassis for the 2007 season. He has also worked as a race engineer in NASCAR, IndyCar, the Atlantic Championship Series, SCCA, the Skip Barber Race Series, and with the UK-based company, Cosworth Electronics.
Scot is currently the Race Director of the FIA Formula E Championship and serves as the Deputy Race Director of the FIA Formula 1, 2 and 3 Championships. Scot is also an FIA Platinum Grade Circuit Inspector.
Alongside his roles at the FIA, Scot is also the Chief Operating Officer of the Motorsport Safety Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving safety standards in motorsport. He is also currently a member of the SCCA and the Society of Automotive Engineers.
Scot graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, and he now lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife Lauren and his four children.
BABA-JALLAH EPEGA
AFRICA REPRESENTATIVE
READ BIOGRAPHY
With over 20 years of experience in events management, brand marketing and public relations, Baba-Jallah Epega brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Driven, serving as our Africa Representative.
Baba attended the Queen Mary University in London, studying Economics (Mathematics and Statistics) and Spanish, and went onto work as a mathematician and banker at Bloomberg TV and Barclays Capital. Drawing on the skills he acquired during his time there, Baba founded EMC3 in 2000, providing expertise in areas including client entertainment concierge packages, the booking and co-ordination of corporate functions, brand marketing, events and experiences. Their London head office is supported by partner offices in Africa, the Middle East, mainland Europe and the United States. In Africa clients include First City Monument Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Africa Finance Corporation, Vitol Group, Ibru Organisation, Africa Port Services, Control Risks, Afrintel, Yale University & globally other clients include Linked In, Google, Drift, MacQuarie Bank, Falcon Group, NYU Stern & Westfield.
Baba’s experience, expertise and creativity brings a unique perspective to Driven’s process, using a detailed approach to realise bespoke answers that cater to the particular needs of each project.
He has a love for travel, and has featured on various media platforms including CNN, BBC, Arise TV and LA Talk Radio, and he has also been involved in the production of a number of TV documentaries.
KARUN CHANDHOK
RACE DRIVER CONSULTANT

With his wide ranging experience in motorsport, Karun Chandhok is integral to the design of our new projects, serving as our Race Driver Consultant.
Throughout his career, Karun has driven an array of cars on nearly one hundred of the world’s most famous race tracks, and being able to draw on his experience is a valuable tool in Driven’s design process, with Karun offering a unique perspective on the creation of new race tracks, upgrades to existing tracks, as well as automotive driving centres.
His experience of working as an advisor to the Buddh International Circuit on the operations of the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix, working at the Silverstone Race School and being an advisor to the Madras Motor Race Track is particularly useful when looking at the masterplan layout and operational models for new circuits.
Karun is part of an exclusive club of only two Indian Formula 1 drivers, having raced for Hispania and Lotus in 2010 and 2011 respectively. He has been a member of the FIA Drivers’ Commission since 2013, sitting alongside racing legends including Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi and Tom Kristensen, representing the views and rights of drivers around the world.
Karun is a familiar face to motorsport fans, working as a Formula 1 expert analyst and commentator for the BBC, Channel 4 and now for Sky Sports F1. He has also appeared on an array of other motoring programs such as Fifth Gear and Speed with Guy Martin.
With a deep love for historic machinery, there is perhaps no better way for Karun to indulge in his passion than by serving as Williams’ Heritage Driver. In his role, Karun tests and drives Williams’ historic cars at demonstrations such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where he has driven legendary cars such as the FW08C and the FW13B up the iconic Hillclimb.
He also conducts an annual charity event, ‘Karun’s Karting Carnival’ in the summer in the UK to raise funds for the education of underprivileged children in India through his family run Vishnu Devananda Charitable Trust.
GRAHAM NICHOLLS
PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT
READ BIOGRAPHY
Graham is a qualified architect and urban planner, holding a DipArch in Architecture and Urban Design and an MA in Urban Design, from Oxford Brookes University in England.
He has gained over 9 years industry experience working as an architect for top international design firms, such as Broadway Malyan. In 2014, Graham established himself as an architectural and urban planning consultant to provide high end residential architectural services to a number of private clients in or around London.
After delivering several successful projects, Graham joined Driven in 2017 and is now our in-house principal architect at Driven, and heads up our Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality design work.
Graham is an integral part of our design team during site master planning . His skillset and experience enables us to offer architectural designs from concept, through detailed design and construction phases.
CHRIS WHITE
PRINCIPAL CIVIL ENGINEER

Chris is Driven’s Principal Civil Engineer and takes the lead on civil engineering planning and design work.
Chris has been working in Engineering Consultancy since graduating university in 2015 where he obtained a MEng in Civil Engineering. After spending almost 5 years with a large engineering consultancy working across a wide range of sectors, he made the move over to Driven International to enhance our multi-disciplinary architecture and engineering offering.
DAN SELBY
DESIGN TECHNICIAN
READ BIOGRAPHY
Dan started his passion for design and motor racing through online gaming, and has successfully turned this into a career at Driven after working for many years as a freelance graphic designer.
He joined Driven in early 2017 and often plays a key role on projects, developing new track and site layouts and evolving these designs using his creative flare, whilst meeting the technical requirements of the FIA or FIM using our in house CAD and simulation software.
Dan is still a keen gamer, Formula One fanatic and a race track encyclopedia! No relation to Alan Selby, in case you were wondering!
JACK KERRY
VISUALISATION TECHNICIAN

Jack joined Driven in 2016 as a marketing assistant whilst studying Media & Games Development.
Jack has progressed into a full-time role as CAD and Visualisation Technician, assisting our designers, engineers and architects in creating the required technical drawing outputs for our projects.
Using his media and games background, Jack has lead the build of our in-house Virtual Reality simulator, and is responsible for modelling our race track designs into immersive driving simulations, creating site fly-throughs and architectural animations – all of which are used to help bring a project to life in the early presentation stages.
Away from his desk, Jack can often be found detailing his car ready for the next major show.
MATT BIRKETT
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS DESIGNER
READ BIOGRAPHY
Matt is our Marketing and Communications Designer, having joined Driven in 2018.
With his expertise in graphic design and marketing, Matt is primarily responsible for developing the Driven brand which includes the website, brochure and other marketing materials for print and digital media.
He also works closely with the directors in client liaison and developing the business, and as a self-confessed race track encyclopedia, Matt has a passion for the design and curation of race tracks, playing a key role in the initial design process of our projects.
Having completed a degree in BA (Hons) Visual Communication from Arts University Bournemouth, Matt is a qualified graphic designer, and with that he brings an expertise for typography, layout design and visualisation, all with an exceptionally high level of attention to detail.
Matt is a life-long motorsport fan, and outside of the office he enjoys designing his own race track projects.
