Virtual and Augmented Reality
Driven integrate virtual and augmented reality into a range of our work in order to fully immerse ourselves and our clients into the design of a project.
Architectural VR
Virtual reality is a great way to truly understand the scale and layout of building interiors, in a way that is more effective than just looking at floor plans. This can be done from an early design stage, which in turn leads to fewer design changes in the future and a more cost-effective way of working for our clients.
Race track and driving course VR
Driven’s virtual track models are able to be driven on a simulator in virtual reality, with a headset adding an extra level of immersion when it comes to driving a new layout. You can look around the vehicle and angle your head towards an upcoming corner just as you would in the real world.
Augmented reality physical models and app
We can develop augmented reality overlays onto physical models to help explain and sell a project at a site-wide level. Our team can produce a bespoke application for use with a tablet that brings the physical model to life with overlays and interactive items. This is great for collaborative discussion and for presenting to potential investors, future customers or planning authorities.
Case study
Oro Station
TORONTO, CANADA
Driven produced a 3D printed model of our masterplan for Oro Station which included landscaping and foliage as well as race track items including barriers, kerbs and paint. In addition to this, we created an augmented reality app for use on both iOS and Android devices, in order to bring the physical model to life through being able to watch an on-board lap video and view more details about the design, all from the palms of your hands.
