Scot Elkins and Baba-Jallah Epega join Driven as our new USA and Africa Representatives

12.02.2020

We are delighted to welcome Scot Elkins and Baba-Jallah Epega to the Driven team, as our new representatives for the United States and Africa respectively.

They will head up our business development across North America and Africa, as well as contributing on some of our other international projects, drawing on their expertise acquired over the last 20 years.

Scot Elkins is currently the Race Director of the FIA Formula E Championship, and also serves as the Deputy Race Director for the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, along with its supporting F2 and F3 championships. This comes having previously worked in NASCAR, Champ Car, IndyCar and IMSA. His expertise and knowledge in race track operations, safety, logistics and race officiating is invaluable, and we are excited to have him on the team at Driven.

Historically, motorsport has not had a large presence in Africa, despite the popularity of the former Formula 1 South African Grand Prix which was held at Kyalami between 1967 and 1993. Africa is quickly re-establishing itself as a developing motorsport market however, and Driven have worked previously with Baba-Jallah Epega on projects in Africa, developing a concept for a new track and automotive destination in Nigeria, for example.

Baba’s experience, expertise and creativity in the events management, brand marketing and public relations sectors brings a unique perspective to our process at Driven, and we are thrilled to have him on board the team as our Africa Representative.

Find out more about Scot and Baba below, and read the biographies of the full Driven team by heading to our Meet the Team page.
