Whilton Mill Kart Circuit enhancements announced

Whilton Mill Ltd is thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to its karting facilities with a new modification to the circuit, designed by Driven International.

A new series of corners have been created in the final sector of the track which will elevate the technical challenge and enrich the driving experience for everyone competing at Whilton Mill, one of the most popular kart circuits in the United Kingdom.

Driven International were engaged by Whilton Mill Karting and Outdoor Activities in 2023 to complete this exercise, and the changes, endorsed by Motorsport UK, will be constructed in March 2024 in time for the Whilton Mill Kart Club Championship round on 23-24 March, and the Motorsport UK British O Plate Championship event on 29-31 March.

A new sequence will be constructed between the existing penultimate and final turns of the circuit, requiring drivers to follow the penultimate corner apex for longer, staying to the right side of the track before navigating a new chicane, which blends back in with the final corner onto the pit straight. The existing inside kerb at the final corner will be replaced by a new kerb, and the marshal hut will be relocated to make way for the new sequence.
