With a spectacular backdrop set on the shores of the island of Lombok, Driven supported Mrk1 throughout all stages of the design process, turning an extraordinary idea into reality.

The first major event at the circuit was the 2021 season finale of the FIM Superbike World Championship, before hosting MotoGP in April 2022. The circuit has since become a regular fixture on both calendars.

The layout has been highly praised by the riders and has quickly become regarded as one of the most beautiful, challenging, flowing and iconic circuits in the world.

“It’s got a bit of everything, there’s some blind crests, and that triple right. It uses every ounce of your strength to try and muscle the bike over while trying to get on the gas, it’s a whole heap of fun. It’s an awesome layout.”

Driven’s support included FIM track design approvals, schematic design, detailed design and construction visits. Mrk1 and Driven worked for ITDC (Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation) to deliver the project and engaged with local civil engineers and contractors as the project developed from concept to construction.
