Circuito de Navarra Redevelopment

Circuito de Navarra has undergone a major redevelopment by MotorSport Vision (MSV), including a new 650m track extension designed by Jonathan Palmer and Driven International.

About the project

The works were completed in two phases, starting with bump removals, resurfacing and a realignment of Turn 6 in March 2024, followed by a major modification and extension to the track layout which was completed in September 2024.

When MSV acquired Circuito de Navarra in 2022, MSV Chief Executive Jonathan Palmer sketched ideas for how the layout could be improved, and he engaged Driven International to convert them into detailed plans, testing configurations on our simulator to refine the vision.

New and improved track experience

The new layout results in a faster, flowing layout with subtle elevation changes to enhance the experience.

Firstly, Turn 6 was re-profiled from a slow left-hander into a much faster corner, effectively becoming a continuation of Turn 5. Then the straight after Turn 10 was extended with a new banked Turn 11 hairpin introduced, rising up hill through the corner.

Out of the hairpin, you plunge downhill into a new high speed sequence of Turn 13 and Turn 14, before merging back into the existing track before Turn 15. New kerbs, run-off areas, barriers and drainage have all been added in these areas, and Driven were on site to oversee the construction.
