Driven International adds prestigious King’s Award to their 2020 Queen’s Award

Driven International has once again received royal recognition for designing world class facilities in the UK and abroad, having been awarded the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise.

Based in Hook in Hampshire, the specialist design company is one of 252 UK businesses to have been recognised for the 2024 King’s Awards, named in the International Trade category for which they also received a Queen’s Award in 2020.

Driven International join an exclusive list of companies that hold a Queen’s Award and King’s Award concurrently, and each Award is approved by His Majesty The King following recommendation by the Prime Minister. The Awards are regarded as the most prestigious recognition for UK businesses.

Since their last recognition in 2020, Driven have built a worldwide reputation for their forward-thinking approach to race track design, becoming one of the first firms to use Driver-in-the-Loop simulators and data to optimise their designs. One of their highest profile projects since 2020 was the successful redesign of the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, which plays host to the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

As well as supporting many UK track venues with ongoing maintenance, 90% of Driven’s work is overseas with clients in India, USA, Australia, the Middle East, and Asia. Recent commissions include several completed projects in India including the upgrade of the Buddh International Circuit which hosted the MotoGP Grand Prix of India, as well as the design of the FIA Formula E street circuit in Hyderabad.

Driven International have exciting new projects in the pipeline and are working to implement these in line with their recently launched company Sustainability Strategy.
